BIO:
DOMENICO QUARANTA. Art critic and curator, he graduated in Contemporary Art with a thesis on äda’web (2002). He has a Master Degree for Curators (Castello di Rivoli & Turin University, 2003) obtained with a thesis titled Curating the immaterial. Curatorial practice and new media art. He has been Art Editor of Cluster magazine, and he writes regularly on net art and new media for such magazines as Exibart, “Arte e Critica”, Teknemedia, Digimag. Articles, reviews and interviews have been published by “Corriere della Sera”, “Boiler”, “Noemalab”, “A minima”, “Titolo”, “Maska”, “Around Photography”, “Drome”. He is the author of the book Net Art 1994 - 1998: La vicenda di Äda'web (Milan 2004) and, together with Matteo Bittanti, the editor of GameScenes. Art in the Age of Videogames (Milan 2006). He curated several exhibitions in Italy, including: GameScenes (Turin 2005), Radical Software (Turin 2006), and Connessioni leggendarie. Net.art 1995-2005 (Milan, 2005). He teaches "Net art" at the Accademia di Brera in Milan, and he is a PHD researcher at the University of Genova, Italy.
